TORONTO — Toronto police, fire and emergency service crews were called to the scene of a collision between a boom truck and a TTC bus in Toronto Jan. 4 where two workers were stranded in the bucket of the truck.
Police and fire reports indicated the collision occurred in the vicinity of Dundas Street West and Old Dundas Street and was reported after 2 p.m.
Toronto fire services extricated the workers one at a time from the elevated platform of the articulating boom lift and the workers were transferred to the care of Toronto Emergency Services.
Video showed that the right front of a bus was damaged in the incident. One worker was reportedly taken to hospital.
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development is investigating.
