WASHINGTON, D.C. — Contractors, end users and ironworkers will come together for the 2024 North American Iron Workers (IW)/IMPACT (Ironworker Management Progressive Action Cooperative Trust) Conference in Orlando.
This year’s theme is Shape Your Future. The iron workers conference, which will take place Feb. 18 to 21 at the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, aims to strengthen relationships between ironworkers, contractors and customers and build mutual success.
Attendees will have an opportunity to hone business acumen, learn best practices from industry experts, and garner tips to foster business growth and network, states a release.
A wide range of industry topics will be covered such as offshore wind, clean energy, cyber security, the metal building market, the rebar industry, artificial intelligence and the U.S. auto industry.
This year, in addition to the regular networking hours, there will be an hour-and-a-half dedicated to minority-owned, veteran-owned and woman-owned businesses during which end users can meet each of them for a few minutes and discuss compatibility for their projects. It’s described as “speed dating” for end users and contracting businesses led by underrepresented groups.
The conference will feature educational sessions as well as prominent speakers.
