James Hayes of If Then Architecture spoke recently at the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s Festival of Architecture in Ottawa about digital fabrication in design and construction.
Hayes recently worked on creating forms for the Parliament precinct revitalization project, and explained how different technologies were used to reproduce classical architectural elements.
He also spoke to the move towards digital fabrication in post-secondary education, and the future of the practice in construction and architecture.
