Team Ontario wins 38 medals at Skills Canada National Competition

ONTARIO — Team Ontario took home 38 medals at the 2024 Skills Canada National Competition in Quebec City recently.

The medals were presented at a closing ceremony June 1 following the competition. Team Ontario took home nine gold, 16 silver and 13 bronze medals.

The following includes the winners from the construction trades from secondary and post-secondary institutions:

Team Ontario is represented by the top competitors advancing from the 2024 Skills Ontario Competition which took place earlier in May at the Toronto Congress Centre. At the National level, these competitors competed against the best skilled trade and technology competitors from across the country.

In September 2023 Team Ontario members Paxton Coghlin and Dillon Kong for mechatronics from Humber College and Ethan McCallum for CNC Machining from Georgian College, will be representing Canada at WorldSkills in Lyon, France in 2024.
