ST. PAUL, MINN. — Ground has been broken on phase two of Decatur Landing, a multi-family, affordable housing development located in Brooklyn Park, Minn.
Real Estate Equities, the City of Brooklyn Park and Big-D Construction Midwest hosted a groundbreaking ceremony recently to mark the start of the next phase of the project.
The Decatur Landing Apartments is Big-D Midwest’s 13th project with developer Real Estate Equities and their first multi-family structure in the city of Brooklyn Park. The development, located on the southwest corner of highway 169 and 610, will offer affordable housing options at 30, 60 and 70 per cent AMI.
Designed by Kaas Wilson Architects, the second phase of the project will feature 175 new residences with one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans ranging in size from 691 to 1,331 square feet. Community amenities include a modern clubroom, fitness center, playground and dog run. Additionally, residents will have access to two levels of covered parking.
Phase two will complete construction on the property and will be fully operational by winter 2025.
