The Ontario Office of the Chief Coroner announced Friday that an inquest will be held into the death of Halit Mutlu, who died in 2010 from injuries received during employment at a Toronto construction site.
Dr. David Sedran will preside as inquest coroner. The province has yet to announce the date and location of the inquest. Hutlu, 42, died March 12, 2010. An inquest, which will examine the events surrounding his death, is mandatory. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
