Paul re-appointed as DCC top official

GATINEAU, QUE. — James Paul has been re-appointed as president and chief executive officer of Defence Construction Canada (DCC), effective Sept. 8.

Paul has been serving as DCC’s president and chief executive officer since September 2009. His career has spanned over 30 years and includes executive management roles in large Canadian technology firms.

Prior to his appointment with DCC, he was president of an international technology company, and served as Chair of the Canada Science and Technology Museum Corporation’s Board of Directors. He is an Ontario lawyer and has earned a law degree from the University of Ottawa after obtaining a degree in commerce from Carleton University.

"Paul’s solid experience in managing major infrastructure projects in the civilian, government and defence sectors will serve him well in continuing his strong leadership role at DCC. In addition, he is able to utilize his extensive management and board experience to provide outstanding vision and guidance to DCC’s Board of Directors," said Robert Presser, chair of DCC’s  Board of Directors.

DCC is a Crown corporation that provides innovative and cost-effective construction contract management, infrastructure and environmental services for Canada’s defence requirements. It has two primary clients: the Department of National Defence and the Communications Security Establishment Canada.
