Work moves along on the new Niagara Regional Police Headquarters in Niagara Falls, Ont. Carillion Canada is general contractor for the three-storey project designed to meet LEED silver certification and the owner is Niagara Region.
The facility will house several centralized units including property and evidence, forensic investigations, major investigative units, dispatch and 9-1-1, prisoner management, and administration. There will also be one level below grade and parking for 415 vehicles. The architect for the project is Rebanks Pepper Littlewood (RPL) and consultants are: Halsall (structural); MCW (mechanical/electrical) and Morrison Hershfield (LEED). Subtrades include: Tower Steel (structural); Harris Rebar; Modern Precast; PJ Daly (drywall); Ecco Electrical; Modern Niagara (mechanical); BML Sprinkler; Sherwood windows (curtain wall); Kone Elevators and Pollard (roofing/exterior zinc).
