Minto, Reid’s, Tridel top builder award finalists

Toronto —Minto Communities, Reid’s Heritage Homes and Tridel have been announced as finalists for the Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA) 2016 Ontario Home Builder of the Year award.

The nominations were announced Aug. 12 as the OHBA unveiled all finalists for its 2016 Awards of Distinction.

Judged by a panel of industry professionals from across Canada, the entries encompass 39 categories of building, design, sales and marketing with submissions from across Ontario, indicates the OHBA media statement.

Winners of the OHBA Awards of Distinction will be announced Sept. 20 at the Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood, Ont. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the OHBA Awards. The ceremony will be held in conjunction with the 2016 OHBA Conference.

In another major category, finalists for the 2016 Ontario Renovator of the Year award are Amsted Design-Build, Eurodale Developments and OakWood Renovation Experts.

The general public is also invited to vote for the OHBA People’s Choice Award at the OHBA website. Finalists for this award include six projects in both the high to mid-rise and low-rise categories:

• Branthaven Homes for: Lake House in Grimsby

• Fusion Homes for: Solterra Community in Guelph

• Great Gulf for: Summerlyn Village in Simcoe County

• Haven Developments for: SIX25BV in Toronto

• Minto Communities for: Bside at Minto Westside in Toronto

• Tridel for: Scala in North York.
