MONTREAL — YUL Condominiums in downtown Montreal has announced the official launch and sale of units in its phase 2 project.

Construction of a second 38-storey condo tower at 1400 Rene-Levesque Blvd. W., near Mackay Street, will begin this fall as part of the project being co-developed by partners Brivia Group and Tianco Group, a March media statement indicated.

The YUL project consists of two 38-storey residential towers and 17 townhouses. The two condo towers will offer more than 800 units including studios, three-and-a-halfs, four-and-a-halfs, five-and-a-halfs and penthouses. About 40 different unit models are available.

The first occupants of Tower 1 will start moving into the building in June. In addition, the first of the 17 townhouses included in the project will be completed by April 2017. The first phase of the YUL Condominiums project was launched in November 2014.

The second tower will feature a two-storey glazed entrance hall, a lounge, two dining rooms for events, a multifunctional fitness room and a terrace on the sixth floor overlooking a 23,000-square-foot private garden.

As with the first tower, all common areas will be furnished by Armani/Casa. Residents of Tower 2 will have access to all the amenities of phase 1 including a spa, indoor and outdoor pool, garden, Sky Lounge and gym. Occupancy of the second tower will start in 2020.

Architecture for the YUL project was by Menkes Shooner Dagenais LeTourneux in collaboration with Stefano Domenici Architect. Magil Construction has the construction contract.
