RFQ Contractor - Schlegel Villages Richmond Hill Long Term Care Home Phase 1 - Fire Protection Trades

Scope

New construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 176,000-square-foot, eight-story above grade, 240-bed elderly care / assisted living facility. Schlegel Villages intends to build a new Long Term Care Home in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Schlegel Villages Richmond Hill Long Term Care Home is a 240-bed new 176,000ft2 building located on the West side of Yonge Street, just south of Nottingham Drive in Richmond Hill. The LTC Home will be the first phase of a continuum of care community that will be developed in three phases to become a focus for seniors' care, accommodation, and outreach programs in the region. The building envelope consists of masonry veneer, glazed curtainwall, vinyl windows and TPO roof system. Actual Bids for the various subcontractors are expected to be issued between Q2 of 2024 and Q3 of 2024. The anticipated project construction schedule is 24 months. Contractors listed below are invited to respond in writing: - Fire Protection The following documentation must be submitted: (1) Fully completed CCDC 11-2019 (2) WSIB CAD-7 (past injury frequency performance) Submission shall include letter authorizing Owner, Construction Manager and Consultants to verify contents of submissions, including contacting references from projects listed in the CCDC-11. Sealed hardcopy or emailed (email limit no larger than 10MB) prequalification statements must be received: on or before 3:00 p.m. local time May 17th, 2024, at: Aquicon Construction Co. Schlegel Villages and Aquicon Construction Co. Ltd. reserve the right to select only those proponents which are deemed suitable and qualified to undertake this project. The prequalification process does not constitute any obligation on the part of Schlegel Villages or Aquicon Construction Co. Ltd. to prequalify and enter into a subcontract agreement with any proponent. Only the proponents deemed qualified to perform on the project will receive bid documents at a later date.
