Proposal - Site Preparation and Clean Cap Excavation for Lake Shore Blvd East - Don River Bridge and Public Realm

Scope

Site work for a civil project in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway. EllisDon is the Construction Manager for the Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation (TWRC) Lake Shore Boulevard East: Don River Bridge and Public Realm Project. EllisDon invites eligible companies, firms or joint ventures to submit proposals for the Site Preparation & Clean Cap Excavation: All works required for the site preparation and clean cap excavation of Lake Shore Blvd. East from the east side of Lake Shore Bridge to Carlaw Ave. and from the West side of Lake Shore Bridge to approx. Bent 330; Clean cap excavation (1.5m) for all the area of work (LSA-N001 to N007), as per Soil Management Plans (Golder, November 2020) and RMM Reports (Golder, October 2020): - Maintain erosion and sediment control measures; - No excavation within 0.3m of existing utilities, or as directed by the utility owner, locates and hydro-vac as required; - Management of storm water during excavation activities; - Backfill to existing grade as per Soil Management Plan; Existing and temporary roadway removals, including but not limited to curbs, retaining walls, medians, landscaping, pavement, sidewalks, manholes, catch basins, and light poles (LSA-C107-C113 & STG01, STG02, STG07-STG10): - Stripping of topsoil (100mm depth) and dispose off-site; - Remove granular material, haul and stockpile within LSBE project limits; - Remove and dispose off-site of all existing debris, rubble and mixed debris/soil materials; - All asphalt of varying thickness to be stripped and dispose of off-site; - Remove and dispose off-site of existing fence (chain link or other) where indicated; - Remove and dispose of street lights; - Remove and dispose of traffic signs; - Remove and dispose of existing retaining walls; Existing rail tracks, including ballast, and railway controls removal and disposal.
