Scope

Renovation and addition to a medical facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the addition of a 115,000-square-foot, three-story above grade, one-story below grade medical facility; and for the renovation of a 5,000-square-foot medical facility. Solicitation no- STR-02016211-00 The project will construct a new Mental Health facility for Inpatient and Ambulatory patient care in an open grass area at the Sunnybrook Bayview Campus, surrounded on three sides by existing buildings E & F Wing. The new building will occupy 115,000 bgsf of new construction, along with renovations to 5,000 bgsf of existing space. Construction will deliver a four storey structure inclusive of one storey below grade. Construction will also include the structural capacity to accommodate future building growth (one storey at a time if required, to a total eight storey structure plus penthouse (if required) inclusive of one storey below grade). The basement level (below grade) will be all new mechanical and electrical space. The ground and first floor levels will be new Inpatient space. The first and second floor levels house new Ambulatory space. Construction will also redevelop the adjacent Staff Parking Lot #6 (between D and E wings) to change from 54 staff parking spaces to landscaping + short term parking. Mechanical and Electrical are PREQUALIFIED as well. *SUB AWARDS
