Scope
Renovation and addition to an elderly care / assisted living facility in Norwood, Ontario. Completed plans call for the addition of a 34,000-square-foot, two-story above grade, 35-bed elderly care / assisted living facility; and for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility. Reference Number 0000179364 Source ID PP.CO.Ont..1066119.C107011 Pleasant Meadow Manor is an existing 61-bed long-term care home located in Norwood Ontario. The home is undergoing a modernization and expansion to a total of 96 beds (addition of 35 beds). The existing building is a wood frame, slab on grade structure, with a sloped roofs. Exterior walls are clad in architectural concrete block masonry veneer. The interior is undergoing a substantial renovation, the existing building is approximately 29,000 sq ft, the proposed addition will be approximately 34,000 sq ft. It will be a two-storey, masonry bearing wall with core slab structure, slab on grade, with a flat roof and two new elevators. *Documents are only available by contacting by the Construction Manager via email to: estimating@steelcore.ca *Construction is expected to begin fall 2020; completion is targeted late 2022.
