Frenchman's Head Water System Short Term Repairs and Existing Well Upgrades

Scope

Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Hudson, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project. Lac Seul First Nation is located in northern Ontario approximately 20 kilometers west of Sioux Lookout. The Community consists of three (3) distinct settlements; Frenchmans Head, Kejick Bay, and Whitefish Bay. The Community is accessible via the ON-644 W Highway and Mill Road. The project includes but is not limited to the following proposed works: oReplacement of existing supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system and programmable logic controller (PLC); oReplacement of existing WTP work station; oInstallation of variable frequency drives (VFD) to the low lift pumping station (LLPS) pumps and replacement of one (1) of the LLPS pumps; oIntegration of post-membrane filter turbidity analysers into SCADA system; oInstallation and programming of autodialer; oRemoval and replacement of backwash tank and downstream piping; oRemoval and replacement of Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) filter media; oSupply and installation of secondary containment for chemical tanks (chlorine tank and coagulant tank); oIntegration of the coagulant dosing pumps and chlorine dosing pumps into SCADA system; oReplacement of the coagulant mixing system; oCleaning and inspection of two (2) reservoir cells, and two (2) pump wells with a combined total effective volume of 440 cubic metres; oSupply and installation of existing well upgrade items such as casing extensions, pit-less adapters, and vermin proof well caps; and oDecommissioning of abandoned wells.
