Carlington Community Health Centre Fit-Up and Renovation

Scope

Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility. The Carlington Community Health Centre (CCHC) is an accredited not-for-profit Community Health Centre that is committed to the well-being of their community. The CCHC has completed the first phase of a capital project involving a joint venture with Ottawa Community Housing Corporation (OCHC) to create an addition to the existing facility for housing units . This joint project involves building an addition to the CCHC's current facility located at 900 Merivale Road Ottawa, which was completed in February 2019. The addition was constructed with a high performance envelope constructed to the Passive House standard that must be maintained during construction. Ottawa Community Housing (OCHC) units will occupy the 2nd to 4th floors. The first floor has been shelled in to accommodate future fit-up for the CHC's Primary Care Clinic (9,000 sf and fit-up is part of this scope of work). The lobby of the addition includes a community room for use by the CHC and OCHC as well as public bathrooms and a link into the existing CHC building. This will function as the main entrance to the Community Health Centre, both old and new spaces. Fit-up of a portion of the lobby is also within the scope of work of this RFP.
