Marigold Library System & Western Irrigation District Joint Facility

Scope

Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Strathmore, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 32,572-square-foot, one-story above grade office development; and library. Marigold Library System and the Western Irrigation District (WID) are calling for bids for a proposed new Joint Facility, to be constructed in Strathmore, Alberta at the intersection of Pine Road and Orchard Park Road. As otherwise described in the issued for tender documents; the Joint facility is approximately 3,016 sq m and consists of a slab on grade, single storey, non-combustible construction, sprinklered building. The spaces in the Joint Facility are comprised of office areas, work spaces, meeting rooms, staff areas, joint use space, shipping / receiving areas and large / high truck bays and general support areas. The site is comprised of asphalt paved parking areas, landscaped areas and a gravel yard. Site work will include fencing, site lighting, sidewalks / pathway and signage. WID will undertake to complete pre-construction site preparation as well as selected civil work in coordination with the successful general contractor. *This project timeline has been extended due to the public health crisis.
