OTTAWA
The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies-Canada has invited its members to participate in a survey being conducted by Western Compensation & Benefits Consultants (WCBC).
In a newsletter, the association said the survey provides consulting engineering firms from across Canada with comprehensive compensation information specific to the industry.
“The current economic downturn presents a challenge for employers with respect to compensation planning,” the association said. “Today, more than ever, employers need credible, up-to-date information to ensure they retain a competent, engaged workforce.”
Results will be available in October.
The survey will include data on such items as current salaries and bonuses, expected changes in salaries for 2010, long-term incentive plans, group insurance and retirement plans and vacation and overtime policies. Data will be provided on more than 60 positions. The cost to participate is $825 plus GST. Data is being collected until the end of the month.
