Asphalt producer Coco Paving acquires three Ontario quarries

Coco Paving Inc. of Toronto has acquired three quarries in Ontario. Reeb Quarry is in Wainfleet Township near the shore of Lake Erie southwest of Niagara Falls. The Barbara Ann McCarthy Quarry is in Ramara Township, east of Orillia and Badgeley Island Quarry is located in Sudbury.

Coco Paving Inc. of Toronto recently announced it has acquired three quarries in Ontario.

Reeb Quarry, which occupies more than 175 acres, provides aggregates for heavy construction. Coco says it assumed responsibility for Reeb’s operations, in Wainfleet Township near the shore of Lake Erie southwest of Niagara Falls, on June 1.

The Barbara Ann McCarthy Quarry, which has a licenced quarry area of more than 200 acres, is in Ramara Township, east of Orillia.

The third operation Coco bought is the Badgeley Island Quarry located in Sudbury, which occupies more than 1,790 acres and provides aggregates and silica sand.

Owned by William and Nina Coco, and their children Jenny and Rocky, the firm has more than 31 asphalt plants in Ontario and Quebec, with more than 1,700 employees.
