Business development head for OIRCA set

TORONTO—The Ontario Industrial Roofing Contractors Association (OIRCA) board of directors has appointed Richard Shanks to the newly created position of business development manager.

Shanks will report to the executive director and be responsible for promoting OIRCA and its membership to those who specify, purchase or procure roofing services in Ontario’s ICI construction sector. His primary role will be to assist buyers of roofing with pre-qualifying roofing contractors.

OIRCA members have met stringent qualifications and have been exposed to a thorough evaluation including workmanship inspections and an independent safety assessment. Members are also subject to an annual performance audit. Prior to this appointment, Shanks gained 10 years of construction-related sales experience, with seven years in architectural roofing sales.
