Puerto Rico governor Ricardo Rossello was one of the keynote speakers at the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnership’s 26th annual conference held in downtown Toronto.
Rossello spoke to attendees about the recent storms that battered the island and the potential for public-private partnerships (P3) to help rebuild.
He zeroed in on the potential to remake Puerto Rico’s energy infrastructure, along with roads he termed as currently inadequate. Rossello also emphasized the need for not only outside investment but the involvement of as many Puerto Rican firms and citizens as possible.
Rossello also addressed the media and covered how Puerto Rico could buld resilient infrastructure to an unmatched standard, and explained what investors are looking for when they initiate projects on the island.
