OTTAWA – The Emerging Leaders Conference will explore a number of critical issues facing the mechanical contracting and construction sector, while providing opportunities for professional development.
The conference is presented by the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC), together with its Future Leaders Advisory Council. The two-day conference will bring together middle management and young professionals on Jan. 26 and 27 in Toronto.
In addition to a keynote presentation from Jennifer Botterill, female hockey star and broadcaster, the program will touch on several issues affecting contractors, including change order management, risk mitigation and tools to improve productivity throughout project delivery, states an MCAC release.
This year’s conference is being held in conjunction with the MCAC Student Chapter Summit. The two events will share opportunities for education and networking, allowing students to learn more about the potential careers available in Canada’s mechanical contracting sector, adds the release.
“Our sector, like many others, is facing shortages in the years ahead in many different roles, including in our middle management roles,” said Tania Johnston, MCA Canada CEO, in a statement. “We are really trying to support the next generation of leaders in our sector and look forward to what should be a great program of events. When we have held this event in years past, it has always been extremely well received for the balance between education and professional development.”
Registration for the event is now open and available online. For more information click here.
