Crombie takes new position as director of public affairs at ORBA

MISSISSAUGA, ONT.—Steven Crombie is the new senior director of public affairs at the Ontario Road Builders’ Association (ORBA).

Crombie brings years of industry experience, a proven track record and a new dimension to the association’s advocacy efforts on behalf of its members and builders of transportation infrastructure in the province, states a release.

He was previously manager of government relations and public affairs at the Ontario Sewer and Watermain Construction Association and the Greater Toronto Sewer and Watermain Contractors Association.

Crombie also brings a unique blend of heavy civil construction and policy expertise. He has years of experience navigating the intricacies of policy-making and regulatory affairs and a proven track record of advancing the priorities of the construction industry, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of the provincial political landscape, indicates the release.

The association will continue to prioritize government and stakeholder relations to deliver on its advocacy priorities including predictable funding for the sector, de-risking infrastructure projects, workforce development and industry sustainability, adds the release.
