TORONTO — Canadian-based engineering consulting firm Entuitive has announced the acquisition of Brown & Co. Engineering Ltd., a structural engineering consulting firm also based in Canada.
Brown & Co. specializes in bridge engineering services, construction engineering and special projects, said a recent release.
The announcement follows the recent engagement of Entuitive’s Transportation and Infrastructure groups on the Union Station Enhancement Project and Port Lands Bridges Projects in Toronto, the release noted.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity for Entuitive,” said Brock Schroeder, managing director of Entuitive, in the release. “With Brown & Company, our combined capabilities, client relationships and portfolio will allow us to offer services on a broader range of large, complex transit-integrated projects. We will be able to realize opportunities together that we could not have realized separately.”
Brown & Co. principals Stephen Brown, Jason Jelinek, Megan Rhind and Andrew Au-Yeung will assume leadership roles at Entuitive. Brown & Co.’s employees will become members of the Transportation, Special Projects and Restoration teams based in Entuitive’s Toronto office.
Entuitive’s Transportation and Bridges team is led by Michael Meschino, Mike Hillcoat and Jonathan Werner. A recent major project was Calgary’s New Central Library, listed as one of Architectural Digest’s Top Ten Buildings to Watch For in 2018.
Founded in 2002, Brown & Co. has a portfolio with such recent Ontario projects as the de-launching of the existing Nipigon River Bridge, lateral sliding of the Highway 3 Bridge at Cayuga and the Crosstown and Finch LRT projects.
