TORONTO — Concrane Sales Inc. has been named the exclusive distributor for Eng Cranes in Ontario, the companies have announced.
Eng Cranes, based in Reggio Emilia in northern Italy, with a branch in San Francisco, Calif., has been designing and manufacturing their line of tower cranes, winches, as well as custom solutions since 1981. With luffers ranging from eight to 20 tonne and flat-top hammerheads ranging from four to 40 tonne, Eng Cranes have erected equipment all over the world, states a release.
The first ETL253 20-tonne luffer and EDKH185 25-tonne derrick are set to be erected in Toronto in fall 2020.
“We worked with Eng Cranes’ designers and engineers to assist in developing standards for any crane coming to Ontario — whether it’s a luffer or a hammerhead,” explained Ricky Redigonda, president of Concrane Sales, in a statement.
“The cranes must be able to move fast and be powerful enough for our highrise buildings. They must also be able to withstand our winter weather and, most importantly, the cranes must be safe. Eng Cranes have taken all of our recommendations and have developed equipment we’re really excited to have in Toronto.”
