JCB Construction Canada expands, opening branch in St. John’s

MONTREAL — JCB Construction Canada, headquartered on the South Shore of Montreal, is opening a new branch in St. John’s, N.L.

The news comes less than a year after announcing the opening of a branch in Toronto.

The opening of the new point of service is intended to meet the growing demand for the company’s services in the Atlantic Provinces market, states a release issued by the company.

JCB has completed numerous projects for major clients in Atlantic Canada over the past 10 years such

as ALRE Properties Inc, Yellow Pages Group and BMO Bank of Montreal.

Its most recent accomplishments include the construction of a new commercial development named Paradise Plaza in Newfoundland for ALRE Properties Inc.

Before the project was fully completed, the firm already had a new $15 million mandate for the construction of a 67,000 square foot commercial building in downtown St. John’s.

The new branch, located directly across the street from their ongoing construction site on Water Street, has been in operation since the spring of 2020, indicates the release, adding it is managed by Patrick Lafreniere, project director — Atlantic Canada, who is responsible for business development and client meetings in addition to project management.
