Garneau, Champagne to unveil transportation project
Federal Minister of Transport Marc Garneau and Minister of Foreign Affairs Francois-Philippe Champagne will make an announcement regarding “a major investment to ensure the efficient movement of goods to international markets” tomorrow morning. The news conference will be broadcast live on Transport Canada’s Twitter account at 9:15 a.m.
Green projects funded in New Brunswick
The federal government will announce funding for four green projects in New Brunswick communities this morning at 10:30 a.m. in Atholville, N.B. Participating on behalf of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities is Michel Soucy, mayor of the Village of Atholville and president of the Association francophone des municipalites du Nouveau-Brunswick.
Empire Communities sponsors food insecurity program
Empire Communities announced yesterday it has entered into a strategic partnership with Community Food Centres Canada to support families struggling with food insecurity. The sponsorship names Empire as the Community Partner in a CCFC program called The Big Social, a fundraising event raising money for food programs.
Efficiency Capital invests in WoodGreen projects
Efficiency Capital announced yesterday it is partnering with Toronto’s WoodGreen Community Housing to enable the agency to leverage its $1.3–million reserve fund investment into a $3.4–million retrofit project. Efficiency Capital will fund and manage green upgrades in eight buildings with over 800 affordable housing and personal support units.
Buildings Week webinar lineup announced
Buildings Canada has announced the lineup for a Buildings Week webinar with the theme State of the Design and Construction Industry Update: Where Are We Now? Where Are We Going?
