Mississauga waterfront featured at forum

ULI Toronto is hosting a presentation tomorrow highlighting waterfront developments in Mississauga billed as Mississauga: Waterfront Rising. Mayor Bonnie Crombie will report on the Lakeview and Brightwater projects and there will be a panel discussion. 

 

Housing announcement in Peterborough

The federal government will be making an announcement related to housing in Peterborough, Ont. tomorrow. The event will be livestreamed starting at 9:30 a.m.  

 

Storage trust reaches assets milestone

Mini Mall Storage Properties Trust reported yesterday it has reached a milestone as it marks its first anniversary: amassing $100 million in assets under management. The mutual fund trust, an offering held by Calgary-based Avenue Living Asset Management, was launched in February 2020 to invest in class B and C self-storage properties across Western Canada. During its first year, the trust acquired 26 properties, representing nearly one million square feet of space, across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.  

 

Abassi returns as Atlas Engineered Products CEO

Atlas Engineered Products (AEP) announced yesterday that Hadi Abassi is returning to a position he previously held, as AEP’s CEO and president. Abassi established Atlas Engineered Products Ltd. in 1999 to manufacture roof trusses at its Nanaimo, B.C. manufacturing facility to service customers on Vancouver Island and established Coastal Windows in 2003 as a dealer and then subsequently a manufacturer of customer doors and windows. The firm currently serves Canada’s truss and engineered products industry.
