Lafarge acquires Beton Mobile du Quebec

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – Lafarge Canada Inc. has announced the acquisition of Beton Mobile du Quebec (BMQ), a volumetric delivery concrete company.

The acquisition represents an expansion to Lafarge’s Ready-Mix division in Quebec, stated a May 3 release. BMQ specializes in the design and delivery of specialty concrete mixes and has 26 employees. 

“This acquisition is a perfect fit for the Lafarge business. Beton Mobile du Québec has been a leader in innovative products such as Latex Concretes and Rapid Sets and it supports our vision of being the reference company in sustainable construction solutions in Canada through product and service innovation,” stated John McCabe, vice-president, Ready-Mix for Lafarge Eastern Canada, in a statement. “We are pleased that Stephane Pelletier, BMQ’s former owner, has agreed to bring his experience to the Lafarge team as general manager.

“We are excited to further position our business as the leader in sustainable construction solutions.”
