Working out of the new lab, Englobe’s Ottawa team will be able to perform laboratory testing of soils and aggregates as well as hardened concrete, field testing on fresh concrete and field compaction testing and subgrade reviews.

The new laboratory is 7,300 square feet and occupies the first floor of Englobe’s new Ottawa office. The firm also operates 10 other labs across Ontario.

In 2020-2021, Englobe participated in 38 infrastructures projects listed among the 1,000 biggest in Canada. Projects have included the renovation of the Parliament buildings in Ottawa, the Scarborough subway in Toronto, both of Ottawa’s current LRT projects and the local Queensway improvements.
