McIntosh Perry joins Frances’s Egis

TORONTO — Canadian firm McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers has announced it has entered into an agreement to join Egis, a France-based consulting, construction and engineering company.

The transaction was intended to give Egis a larger foothold in North America, stated a release.

McIntosh Perry had previously merged with Indiana-based engineering firm BLN in 2021. For the last 15 years, McIntosh Perry has been owned and controlled by the management team and Signal Hill Equity Partners of Toronto.

“We look forward to welcoming McIntosh Perry and Beam, Longest & Neff (BLN) to Egis,” said Laurent Germain, CEO of Egis, in a statement. “This acquisition contributes to our strategic vision of expanding into a key region, North America. Their talented workforce and excellent client relationships will create a strong and stable base to build upon in North America and will place us among the top North American engineering firms.”

Gus Sarrouh, CEO of McIntosh Perry, commented, “This is the natural next step in our journey as a company, as we have been steadily growing and are ready to increase our service offering capabilities. Egis is the perfect permanent home for us.”

Egis already is working on projects in Canada including GO Rail Expansion in Ontario and the rehabilitation of the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel in Montreal.

The transaction is expected to close in early July 2023.
