TORONTO — Canada Goose has moved its headquarters to a new location in Toronto.
The new space was designed by M Moser Associates “to harmonize the brand’s commitment to people and the planet, serving as a catalyst for nurturing creative minds and offering an immersive and sustainable workplace,” states a release.
Highlights of the new space include:
- Custom ceiling in reception: Illuminated ceiling inspired by the Northern Lights, a nod to the brand’s northern roots.
- A curated art collection in collaboration with Inuit, Indigenous and Canadian artists.
- 52 Focus Rooms and 17 huddle rooms: The huddle rooms are equipped with TVs to encourage creativity and effective strategy sessions for smaller team regroups.
- A collection of brand material and books handpicked by Canada Goose executives. It serves as a quiet space for decompression and learning.
- A material library where employees can explore the brand’s large and inspiring collection of trims, fabrics and design tools.
- A cafeteria and micro cafe on each floor.
- A nursing room that is furnished with cozy seating, soft lighting, privacy screens and other essential amenities. The room is designed to provide privacy and comfort for new mothers.
- A yoga room.
- Reflection room for relaxation, introspection or prayer.
- Sustainability features include a green roof to maximize energy performance through the installation of an extensive photovoltaic solar panel array; rainwater and underwater cisterns collect and reuse water; electric vehicle charging stations; onsite bike service; and acoustic panelling is made from 60 per cent recycled PET and 100 per cent recyclable.
