TORONTO — Altus Group Limited recently published its sixth annual sustainability report on ESG initiatives. The report highlights the company’s progress in addressing environmental, social and governance (ESG) in 2023.
A key ESG highlight for climate action and sustainability is a modest decrease in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This decrease reaffirms Altus’ low carbon footprint and proactive measures to mitigate environmental impact.
In terms of talent management, ongoing initiatives to foster a culture of high trust and high performance are translating to tangible improvements in employee experience, engagement and recruitment, a release from the company indicates.
For gender and diversity, recent data shows 28 per cent of managerial and above roles are filled by women. Additionally, 29 per cent of these roles are filled by those who self-identify as Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC). The company aims to reach 30 per cent plus representation by 2025.
When it comes to cybersecurity and data responsibility, sustaining top-tier privacy protocols remains a strategic priority with the 2023 external audit report based on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, adds the release.
In terms of governance, new nominations to Altus’ board of directors underscores a commitment to board refreshment, further aligning board expertise and experience with the company’s evolving strategic direction.
