Bryce Conrad takes the helm of Hydro Ottawa Aug. 15. Currently Assistant Deputy Minister of Program Operations at Infrastructure Canada, his federal experience includes managing the implementation of the Infrastructure Stimulus Fund of the Economic Action Plan, the $6.6 billion Building Canada Fund, the Green Infrastructure Fund and Gas Tax agreements with municipalities and provinces.
Hydro Ottawa announced this week its next chief executive officer will be Bryce Conrad, who is currently Assistant Deputy Minister of Program Operations at Infrastructure Canada and managed the implementation of the federal Infrastructure Stimulus Fund.
Conrad starts his new role with the Ottawa electrical power company Aug. 15.
Pierre Richard, Chair of the Board of Directors of Hydro Ottawa Holding Inc., stated in a press release that Conrad’s “experience managing billions of dollars worth of infrastructure and capital projects will serve our company, our customers and our shareholder well."
His federal experience includes managing the implementation of the $4 billion Infrastructure Stimulus Fund (Economic Action Plan), the $6.6 billion Building Canada Fund, the Green Infrastructure Fund and Gas Tax agreements with municipalities and provinces.
Conrad will lead the Hydro Ottawa Group of Companies, which includes Hydro Ottawa Holding Inc. and its two subsidiaries, Hydro Ottawa Ltd. and Energy Ottawa Inc.
Conrad has a Bachelor of Arts from Queens University of Kingston, Ontario, a Master of Public Administration from Ottawa-based Carleton University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa.
