UTOPIA, N.B. — The federal government and the government of New Brunswick have announced funding for a series of roadway projects that will enable passage of heavier trucks on provincial roadways.
The improvements to what are termed strategic resource trade corridors will include the replacement of 14 bridges and culverts located on nine collector roads and highways across the province, stated a release.
The federal government is contributing $24.3 million to the projects through the Provincial-Territorial Infrastructure Component — National and Regional Projects Fund while the Province of New Brunswick will allocate $33.7 million.
