CaGBC signs new firms to Disclosure Challenge
The Canada Green Building Council today announced that four new firms have signed on to its Disclosure Challenge. The challenge requires participants to publicly share their portfolio-wide energy, water and carbon data through the Energy Star Portfolio Manage platform. The four new participants are Brookfield Properties, Kingsett Capital, SHAPE Properties and Golden Properties.
Active transportation plan for Antigonish
This morning three levels of government have announced funding for the creation of a two-kilometre active transportation corridor through the town of Antigonish, N.S. The project involves building or rebuilding key pieces of infrastructure at four locations through the town, home of St. Francis Xavier University.
Federal funding to support community housing repairs in Ottawa
The federal government and the Ottawa Community Housing Corporation today announced a $165.6-million financial package, $65.4 million of which is a forgivable loan, for capital repairs to 11,000 units under the authority of the housing corporation. The portfolio project will upgrade and extend the lifespan of the units.
