New Brunswick communities upgrade asset management plans

The federal government has announced it is allocating $150,000 to three new projects in New Brunswick communities through the Municipal Asset Management Program, delivered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities on behalf of the federal government. The Rural Community of Saint-Andre will develop a database of its infrastructure assets such as water, sanitary sewers, roads and buildings; the Village of Petit-Rocher will take inventory of its municipal assets and develop an asset management plan; and the Town of Saint-Leonard will improve its asset management plan through data collection and condition assessment of its assets. 

 

Gordie Howe Bridge benefits announcement set for Tuesday

The Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority and Bridging North America have scheduled an announcement on the Community Benefits Plan for the Gordie Howe International Bridge project for June 15. Community representatives will be on hand for the 2:30 p.m. announcement. 

 

Highway project for Garden River First Nation

The Ontario government has announced a contract award to KSMM 2020 for work on Highway 17B near North Bay through the province’s Aboriginal Procurement Program. KSMM 2020 is a partnership between Garden River First Nation, Shwe Miikaan Corporation and Miller Paving Limited.
