Municipal Election Day in Ontario: What you need to know

The housing supply crisis, labour shortages, cutting red tape, transit initiatives and “Strong Mayor” powers dominated headlines throughout the lead up to Ontario’s municipal elections, which take place today (Oct. 24) across the province.

The Daily Commercial News covered several events during the campaign, highlighting three large metropolitan areas (Toronto, Ottawa and Hamilton) and what the leading mayoral candidates were highlighting as part of their respective platforms.
