Eight suspects sought for $300,000 copper cable theft in Toronto
TORONTO POLICE — Four different cars were used to steel copper cable from an electrical station in Toronto in mid January. Police are looking for eight suspects.

TORONTO — Police are looking for eight suspects involved in an incident of copper cable theft valued at about $300,000. The industrial copper cable was stolen from an electrical station in Toronto.

Police responded to a break and enter call Jan. 15 in the Lakeshore Boulevard West and Rees Street area of the city.

It is reported that on Jan. 13 and 14, the group of eight suspects gained entry into an electrical station. Four different vehicles were used over the two days to obtain stolen property and approximately $300,000 worth of industrial copper cable was taken.

The eight male suspects are wanted for break and enter and theft over $5,000.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s help with the investigation.

Police are asking local residents, business and drivers who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident to contact investigators.
