TORONTO — Ontario and Baycrest Health Sciences in Toronto are spending almost $10 million to upgrade power infrastructure at Baycrest Health Sciences.
Construction that will include replacing the high voltage distribution and emergency power generation system is planned to begin in spring 2017 and be completed by fall 2017. The projects will upgrade the main Baycrest Hospital, Apotex Centre, Brain Health Centre and Posluns Building.
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care media statement issued Feb. 6 calls Baycrest a leader in brain health and aging.
The system upgrade is estimated to cost $9.86 million in total. Ontario will invest up to $9.06 million and the hospital will contribute $795,400.
