BRIDGEWATER, N.S. — The governments of Canada and Nova Scotia have announced combined funding of $4.8 million to support the Riverport School remediation project and the Bridgewater wastewater treatment upgrades in Nova Scotia.
The projects consist of the decontamination of the former Riverport School property in the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, and upgrades to the existing wastewater systems in the Town of Bridgewater, stated an Aug. 1 release.
The Bridgewater project involves the replacement of one pumping station and the installation of 1,000 metres of main pipes.
