RFP issued for Grandview Children’s Treatment Centre redevelopment

TORONTO — Three teams have been invited to respond to a request for proposals issued by Infrastructure Ontario and Grandview Kids to design, build and finance the Grandview Children’s Treatment Centre Redevelopment project in Durham Region, Ont. 

The three teams are Children’s First Consortium, EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare and Grandview Connection Group.

Once the project is complete Grandview Kids will consolidate its existing main site in Oshawa and multiple satellite locations into the new facility located on land donated by the Town of Ajax.

Teams were shortlisted based on criteria identified in a request for qualifications process that began in September 2020 with selection criteria such as design and construction capability, experience, qualified personnel and financial capacity to undertake a project of this size and scope, states a release.

For the Children’s First Consortium the prime team members are Amico Design Build Inc. (50 per cent), Sacyr Construction S.A (50 per cent) (applicant lead and construction team); H.H. Angus and Associated Limited, Parkin Architects (design team); and Stonebridge Financial Corporation (financial adviser).

The EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare team consists of EllisDon Corporation (applicant lead and construction team); Montgomery Sisam Architects Inc. (design team); and EllisDon Capital Inc. (financial adviser).

Grandview Connection Group is made up of Pomerleau Inc. (applicant lead, construction team and financial adviser) and Stantec Consulting Ltd., Stephenson Engineering Limited, Quasar Consulting Group Inc. (design team).
