TORONTO – Infrastructure Ontario has announced that two teams have submitted proposals in response to a request for proposals to earn the contract for Metrolinx’s Lakeshore East – Central Corridor rail expansion project in east Toronto.
The two teams that have submitted their proposals by the June 17 deadline are Eastlink Partners (formerly Dragados Canada Inc.), with Dragados Canada and Ledcor Constructors as applicant lead, Dragados and Ledcor as the construction team and ACS Infrastructure Canada and National Bank Financial as financial adviser; and Steel Head Constructors, with Aecon Infrastructure Management and Dufferin Construction Company, a division of CRH Canada Group, as applicant lead, Aecon and Dufferin as the construction team and Bank of Nova Scotia as the financial adviser.
The project features two grade separations, at Scarborough Golf Club Road and Morningside Avenue; 3.4 kilometres of track and grading work from Galloway Road to Beechgrove Drive; and supporting infrastructure, including retaining walls along the central segment of the Lakeshore East corridor
The submissions will now be evaluated and a successful proponent is expected to be announced in fall 2021. The project type is build-finance.
