Peel Police break ground on new support facility

BRAMPTON, ONT. — Peel Regional Police have officially broken ground on a new Operational Support Facility (OSF) at 8100 Mississauga Rd. in Brampton, Ont.

Early works will commence before the end of the year and construction is expected to start early next year, stated a release. The build is targeted for completion in 2027.

The statement said the building will be designed consistent with the Region of Peel’s net-zero carbon commitment. The facility will be home to over 700 Peel Regional Police employees and will also host services previously housed in the Sir Robert Peel Centre such as the 911 Communications Centre.

“This facility will help address current and future service pressures and meet the needs of our community,” stated Peel Chief Nishan Duraiappah in a statement.
