EllisDon lands Toronto Warden Station redevelopment job

TORONTO — EllisDon has announced it has been selected to lead the Warden Station redevelopment project in Toronto for the TTC.

The redevelopment will introduce a transit hub, CreateTO mixed-income housing and new public spaces around Taylor Massey Creek, stated a release.

Warden Station, a central transfer point on Line 2, has been part of Toronto’s transit network since the 1960s. The redevelopment will make the station fully accessible and upgrade passenger access, said the constructor.

The project will start with the establishment of a new accessible entrance that includes elevators linking the entrance, concourse and subway platform levels. The existing bus terminal will then be replaced.

The station will remain operational throughout the redevelopment.
