Outside work is underway at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre Emergency Expansion project in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Construction manager Aecon Atlantic Group began the health sciences centre project in August 2007 and expects to complete the work in March 2009.
The two-storey expansion of the centre’s emergency department was designed by WHW Architects Inc.
Consultants are BMR Structural Engineering (structural) and FC O’Neill Scriven Associates Ltd. (mechanical/electrical).
Subcontractors include MacLellan Construction Services Ltd. (sitework); RKO Steel Ltd. (structural steel); Omega Formwork Inc.; Rendan Fabricators Ltd. (rebar) Quality Concrete; Precision Concrete Services Ltd. (concrete finishing); Reddick Bros. Masonry Ltd.; Tartan Drywall Ltd.; Ralph Connor Co. Ltd.
