Jeffrey Good of Ottawa’s Local 2041 competes in the drywall, acoustic and lathe category at the recent Carpenters Union Provincial Apprenticeship Contest in Toronto. Good joined 23 other unionized apprentices competing in three different carpentry trades.
The winners in each category go on the national championships this August in Quebec City.
The best unionized carpenter apprentices from across Ontario recently competed at the Carpenters Union Provincial Apprenticeship Contest in Toronto.
The winner in the carpentry category was Joshua Mynttinen of Local 27, second was Daniel Senf of Local 2486 followed by Josh Neitzel of Local 2222. The winner in the drywall category was Jordan Titus of Local 675, second was Jeff Best of Local 397 (above), followed by Bill Myers of Local 785.
The winner in the floor covering category was Mike Walsh of Local 27, second was Yan-Nick Michaud of Local 93 (above), followed by Pat Czyz of Local 1946.
