Concrete product manufacturer Oldcastle acquires Transpave of Quebec

Transpave, which operates two paver machines at a St-Eustache, Quebec plant, has been acquired by Oldcastle Building Products. Oldcastle makes concrete products under the Permacon and Decor band names.

Quebec masonry manufacturer Transpave has been purchased by Oldcastle Building Products.

Transpave operates two paver machines at a plant located in St-Eustache, Quebec Its products are mainly distributed through three wholly owned distribution centers in St-Eustache, Longueil and Quebec City.

“The acquisition of Transpave adds a reputable, quality product line and additional manufacturing capacity to ensure service levels for all customers,” said Gary Belisle, president of Oldcastle Architectural Canada. “In order to maximize continuity in the marketplace, Oldcastle will continue to promote the Transpave brand as well as independently operate its three distribution centers.”

Oldcastle Building Products is a Canadian manufacturer of concrete products designed for the landscape and masonry markets, with 11 plants in Quebec and Ontario under the Permacon and Decor names.

Oldcastle is the North American subsidiary of Dublin, Ireland based-CRH plc, a major international player in the building materials industry.
