EllisDon has announced the promotion of Kieran Hawe to vice-president/Toronto area manager. Hawe, who has 20 years of experience on major projects in Canada, Europe and Asia, joined EllisDon in 2000 as a mechanical/electrical coordinator.
He worked his way up to the position of construction manager where he gained extensive experience in managing large teams in the design and construction of projects that are “mission critical” in nature, including complicated laboratory and research programs.
“Kieran is well respected in the industry, strongly represents EllisDon’s core values and has all the leadership characteristics that are necessary to succeed as leader of the Toronto team,” EllisDon said.
The company also announced that Tim Smith, EllisDon’s outgoing vice-president/Toronto area manager, has been promoted, to executive vice-president.
Smith started with EllisDon as a project superintendent in the Calgary office. He has spent the majority of his career in senior management positions, representing the company in the Vancouver, Toronto, and Michigan offices.
In 2008, Smith was promoted to senior vice-president and Toronto area manager. In his new role as executive vice-president, he will be responsible for the overall building construction operations across Canada.
