Work is moving along on the new Niagara Convention and Civic Centre in Niagara Falls, Ont.
Bondfield Construction Co. Ltd., along with MHPM Project Managers Inc., have scheduled the opening of the two-storey, design-build centre for January 2011.
The centre will have an exhibition hall, a ballroom, meeting space, a 1,000-seat theatre and two levels of underground parking.
The project was designed by CS & P Architects/Stanford Downey Architects/The Kirkland Partnership Inc. Consultants are: Banerjee & Associates (structural); MCW Consultants (mechanical/electrical); and NAK Design Group (landscape). Subtrades include: BBM Excavation; Salit Steel Ltd. (rebar); Forma-con (formwork); Better Iron Works (structural); Dufferin Concrete; Nekison Engineering (mechanical); Carlos Electric; General Sprinklers (fire protection); and Schindler Elevators Corp.
